Have you ever noticed that this seems to be the mentality of every person of color in this nation? Of course, there are exceptions. I am not going to go down that blanket labeling route here. Let’s not step down to that lazy minded path of mincing words to find something to complain about. Surely, we can do better than that? I know I can. Let’s move on now.
Perhaps I should start, by laying the basis of the original, and perhaps a tad controversial, statement I made. It was white people to blame. Yes, white people and only white people are to be blamed, for the founding of this country. There were no blacks or Mexicans or middle eastern or oriental people that fought the Native Americans. It was completely our fault this country was taken from them and it is our shame.
These are facts. This is history. This is something everyone knows is true. Even the Native Americans will say it is so. So tell me if we all know this is true, why is it that we allow anyone to take anything from us? Why is it that every other race insists that a country that was created and founded by white Europeans, is their country and that they should get a part of it? Exactly why is it that they think we should just freely give them what we created?
By now there are those who are dismissing this entire story as “racist”. That would be low brow thinking at best, but lets change the narrative for those who can’t see past color to simple common sense. Let change the narrative for a bit.
Suppose your great grand father created this amazing watch. He passed it down to his son and his son passed it down to his and so forth. Until it came time for that watch to be passed down to you and some stranger came by and said “I am taking that watch because my great grand father watched yours make it.”
That is exactly what is going on now in our country with everything we created. They use the buzzword diversity like it is a good thing thing. When it really is just way for them to take our inheritance. They use it like a weapon.
In the name of diversity, we are supposed to give up everything we AND our ancestors earned.
As a white American the only rights we seem to have is the right to pay everyone else’s way. Our taxes pay for subsidized housing, food stamps, and Medicaid. This is given to every race and even to people who have no legal right to be here. However, if we complain that our money is just being given away, we are labeled racist. Please tell me how this makes sense? To add to this shit show, have you ever noticed that the majority of homeless people are white? In particular vets? How is it that the people who created and fought for this country, are the ones who are homeless?
By now, there are probably more of you thinking hey, why are grouping all people together? As I stated previously, I do this for convenience of explanation. I realize there are ALWAYS exceptions to rule. Let’s just arise above the semantics game and move on.
As a poor white person, I have had the privilege of making my fellow Americans of color have all the things I could never have. They have housing, food, clothes, vehicles, and medical care. Granted the government does not give them vehicles. However, all the money they save on the other things allows them to have money for those vehicles.
In fact, last year when my wife lost her job, we made a trip to the Department Of Human Services.(where you get food stamps, Medicaid, etc.) It was rather annoying to see that most of the vehicles in the parking lot were nicer and newer than our vehicle. Funny, how we were not qualified for anything, yet these other people were.
There is a long running joke amongst us whites. To get any government help, you have to be the right color. I did not say it was a good joke.
I just don’t understand how everyone can sit there and blame us for what happened to the Native Americans, and in the same sentence, demand that we give them a share of it. Isn’t that a bit hypocritical?
I hope by this point, at least some of you who actually have an open mind, have had a glimpse into what it is to be white in America. All of these thoughts and then some, have crossed our minds and even a few of our tongues. It is very hard to see others being treated better than they deserve to be. It is not fair. Isn’t that supposed to be important in this country. I believe in our attempts to make this country fair for everyone, we left out the people who created this country. In doing so, we are pissing on the graves of our ancestors.
Lastly, I would love to approach racism. I know this is something that so many people claim they are not, and I am sure many will come here, wanting to label me as a racist. You are welcome to do so. Why would I say that? It is because of this next statement.
All people are racist!!!
To varying degrees, perhaps, but it is still true. There is not a single person on this planet who would not side with their blood relatives over anyone else. Your blood relatives are the same race. This is racism. We all do it to varying degrees. In fact, personal experience has taught me over the years, that those who scream racism the most, are more racist! So get off your high horse. Stop trying to play the racist card. Open your mind to other viewpoints. Then and only then, will you begin to see just how unfair the country has gotten, not only for the white people of this nation, but for every single tax-paying individual in this nation.
We need to stop giving away what is ours and start taking care of our own people.
I hope you enjoyed this writing. I hope it opened your eyes a little and if you liked it, you subscribe for more to come. Take care and have an amazing day!
